HOW TO RESTORE DATABASE

Dear All

In order to Restore Database, please follow the steps given below :-

1)For restore of database first delete the existing database from the server for that follow the following steps:
a) Go to start
b) Select Program
c) Select Oracle-OraHome92
d) Select Configuration and Migration Tool
e) Select Database Configuration Assistant
f) Select Delete a database
g) Select the database for deletion which needs to be restored

2)After that create a new database with the same name for that follow the following steps:
a) Go to start
b) Select Program
c) Select Oracle-OraHome92
d) Select Configuration and Migration Tool
e) Select Database Configuration Assistant
f) Tick on Create a Database
g) Select General purpose
h) Enter Global Database name
i) Select Shared Server Mode
j) Click On OK
k) Database creation is in progress
l) Enter password for each user (eg. s). It is mandatory
m) Click on Exit

3)For tune and import database
a)Go to Application folder or right click on application icon
b)click on properties
c)click on find target
d)Find License file( Namely: licclient.exe)
e)Run licclient.exe and click on tuned database
f)Select Oracle Version
g)Enter password (Password must be the same at the time of Oracle database creation)
h)Enter Database Name
i)Browse backup dat file
j)click on tune and import database
k)A command prompt window will open do not close the command prompt as the database import is in progress.

4)After import of dat file a pop up text file will open so check the status of database import at the end of the file

5)Follow the following steps to activate product
a)Go to Application folder or right click on application icon
b)click on properties
c)click on find target
b)Find License file( Namely: licclient.exe)
c)open file name licclient.exe and click on test-I net connection and wait for the message saying "connection was successful"

NOTE:-If you are get an error message please ensure that your internet is working and if your internet is connected through firewall please ensure that 8089 port is open

6)Click on Product Activation

7)Select Database Restored/Fin.Closing

8)Select Product Type

9)Enter database name

10)Enter database Id given by license department

11)Click on Get Activation

12)Your application has updated now login in to the application

13)And take backup of NSE1314 (i.e. Which data has been restored)
